Heading toward the ballpark and there is no N or T coming or they're all crowded, walk to the NW corner of Van Ness and Oak (Market) to catch the 47 toward Caltrain. It'll drop you off a block away.

Unless you live past Castro Street Station, either take the F Line or walk after 5:00 PM otherwise the trains are packed beyond capacity.
