If you are an university student you can go to Sarasawi uyana station with out a ticket in any slow train.believe me.no one checks :-)

The only station in Sri Lanka (as I know) where a train could turn and go back in the same direction without disconnecting the engine. (in other words make a ''U'' turn)

Connects Badulla Colombo n Kandy railway station. It's cute n small but friendly staff. And well u can hang around without purchasing a ticket too. Got about 5 exits, if u know what I mean!
