There's a power outlet at the top on the stairs, first post on your left on the Loop platform. You know, for emergencies.

The Metra North Line is directly next to you - you can see the tracks right now. If you are going to Chicago and the schedule works out Metra is MUCH faster and more convenient (no transfer at Howard)
