At the top of the viaduct at St Nicholas place sits Hooper Fountain, a horse trough/dog fountain designed by G.M. Huss left to NYC by the will of John Hooper who died in 1889.

1893 built landmark connects Macombs Dam Bridge to Maher Circle atop Sugar Hill. Some 19th century lampposts are still in use.
