If you are going to be stopped for more than 10 seconds, turn off your engine and you will save gas.

When waiting in long lines, you save gas and $$$ by shutting engine off. Anything more than 10 seconds of idling costs more than shutting the car off. Check it with AAA.

Don't wait in a longer line just to get a pump that faces the direction of your tank - the hoses are long enough to reach either side of your car.
