The airport is now completely new. Six gates. Buses take you to the planes. 737’s now fly here.

Small airport, easy check in procedures

There is a small coffee and snack kiosk in the departure lounge. Otherwise no food & drink services.

Very small airport. No check in hassles. Takes half an hr from Vijayawada city

By far one of the smallest airports one would see. Those with checked in bags, can expect them hand delivered :) definitely not a place for the claustrophobics :)

Beware in case you have baggage checked in ... Don't exit the arrival lounge (a small 300 sft room) where they just put your baggage

When you rent a car. Ask about the car condition. Usually have crappy cars

Don't expect baggage concourse. Luggage is handed over by guards :)
