Despite the different deities, all of Kataragama is dedicated to Lord Muruga. Do note the Vel (Lance) facing Lord Vinayaga here and everywhere else.

Truly an awesome place land rightfully, the first place one should visit even before Kataragama. The far most left hill and one that is the abode of Lord Vinayaga.
