There are so many exhibits! Get there early to get planetarium tickets and to see all the exhibits. The membership is worth it for the discounts in the store and member hours.

Check out the park, there are other exhibits on the grounds outside the museum at no additional cost.

Study map & pick strategy to see everything (1 building then other, zigzag between the 2, bottom-top, top-bottom). Bridges on 3 & 4 floor between buildings, not on 2. Elevator wait time can be long.
