Despite having been charged $10.50 to take a picture of a camel, the front desk girl was cute so it's ok I suppose.

Created during the last Ice Age, this tract of sand-like silt was slowly covered by topsoil, but rediscovered by colonial farmers during the 18th century. (From Aerial America)

One of Maine's truly quirky attractions. Fun and educational.

great natural history -field trip- shows what happens when you over-farm- it turns into a cheesy tourist trap!

Visit on a dry day and walk barefoot in the sand. The sand is remarkably soft. Other than that, it's just as corny as you should expect.
