Considering the past of Shanghai and the number of influences from half way across the world, this museum lacks of a proper explanation of all the styles and ages in the city’s amazing history.

The only one interesting thing in this museum is a scale model of the city. If you want to understand the real size of SH - you must see it. Don't pay for audio guide - nothing interesting

Interesting exhibition. The model of Shanghai 2020 is overwhelming but raises a lot of questions as it means that the remaining parts of the old quarters will be flattened.
